Nanya Technology, a key DRAM market player, announced plans to increase capital expenditures to a record $6.2 billion by 2027, four times its current budget. This decision follows a sharp rise in DRAM prices, which delivered a record gross margin of 79.5% in Q2. Revenue surged 684% year-over-year to $2.5 billion, while net profit grew over 13-fold, driven by a 70% quarterly price increase despite a slight decline in shipment volumes. The company attributes this to persistent market shortages and rising average DRAM prices.
