Adobe Integrates AI Assistants into Creative Cloud to Automate Tasks

Adobe is expanding its AI assistant capabilities by launching them in a public beta for key Creative Cloud applications. The tools, previously unveiled in April, are now integrated into Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, and Frame.io, offering users automation for routine tasks.

Depending on the application, AI assistants perform different functions. For example, in Photoshop, they help manage layers and batch-remove backgrounds, while in Premiere Pro, they sort video files by categories and highlight key interview segments. In InDesign, assistants automatically check projects for brand guideline compliance, reducing manual review time.

According to Dipa Subramaniam, Adobe's vice president of product marketing for creative professionals, the goal of AI assistants is not to replace designers but to simplify complex workflows. Users can interact with assistants via chat, refining tasks and adjusting results. The tools also learn user preferences to provide more relevant solutions.

Firefly Studio, Adobe's content generation and editing hub, has introduced new features. Users can now save character, object, and scene templates for reuse in prompts, ensuring consistent results. Additional task presets include brand kit creation, storyboarding, and quick video editing. These updates are available in a closed beta, but anyone can join the waitlist.
