AMD Reintroduces Ryzen 7 5800X3D and Launches Ryzen 7 7700X3D Priced Up to $350

AMD has introduced two new processors featuring 3D V-Cache technology, aimed at reducing users' system upgrade costs. The highlight of the announcement is the Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition, which will go on sale on June 25 at a recommended price of $349. This is $100 cheaper than the original model's launch price over four years ago.

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D retains its original specifications: 8 Zen 3 cores, 16 threads, a clock speed of up to 4.5 GHz, and 100 MB of L2+L3 cache memory. The processor utilizes the first generation of 3D V-Cache, where SRAM is stacked on top of the cores. In AMD's tests, the chip showed a 115% performance boost compared to the Ryzen 7 2700X and a 16% increase over the base Ryzen 7 5800X. The company also claimed a 10% advantage over the Intel Core i9-14900K in gaming when using DDR4 memory.

For users of the AM5 platform, AMD has prepared the Ryzen 7 7700X3D, set to launch on July 16 at a price of $329. This is a frequency-reduced version of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, featuring 8 Zen 4 cores, 16 threads, and 104 MB of cache memory. The base clock speed is lowered to 4 GHz, with a turbo frequency of 4.5 GHz. Gaming performance is expected to be comparable to the flagship model, given the characteristics of the X3D architecture.

Both models are designed to compete with Intel's offerings in the mid-range price segment. The Ryzen 7 7700X3D will rival the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, which excels in applications but lags in gaming. AMD also emphasizes the affordability of solutions for different platforms: AM4 with DDR4 support and AM5 with DDR5, allowing users to choose the optimal configuration without unnecessary expenses.
