Android Auto Now Supports Popular Mobile Games

Google has expanded Android Auto’s functionality by enabling mobile games to run on car screens. To access them, users simply need to install the Gamesnacks app, which offers dozens of lightweight games optimized for touch controls. All games run via a smartphone but display on the car’s screen, freeing up the phone for other tasks.

Among the available games is Angry Birds Friends, where the slingshot-based gameplay adapts seamlessly to a car’s touchscreen. Progress is saved automatically, allowing players to continue in multiple sessions. Another popular option is Beach Buggy Racing (both parts), an arcade racer with vibrant tracks and simple controls, perfect for quick gaming sessions.

The list also includes Candy Crush Soda Saga* and Farm Heroes Saga, both from the same developer. These games use a "match-three" mechanic but with variations—one focuses on collecting candies, while the other involves fruits and vegetables. All featured games require no complex gestures and are designed for relaxed play, making them ideal for in-car use.

To launch the games, users must install them on their smartphone and connect the device to the car. The vehicle must be in park mode. While performance may not match the mobile version, the games remain playable and help pass time during traffic jams or waiting periods.
