Anthropic Prepares for IPO as Revenue Soars to $47 Billion

Anthropic, a developer of advanced artificial intelligence models, has filed documents to go public. The company, known for competing with OpenAI and xAI, aims to raise funds amid rapid business growth. As of May, its annual revenue reached $47 billion—five times higher than at the end of 2025.

Anthropic co-founder Daniela Amodei emphasized that the primary reason for preparing the IPO is the high costs of training and operating AI models. She stated that leading AI market players will inevitably need significant investments, and the public market is best suited for this purpose. Amodei sees no risk of growth slowdown, despite concerns from some corporations about the return on AI investments.

Unlike competitors, Anthropic does not build its own data centers, opting for a flexible approach to purchasing computing power. The company recently signed an agreement with xAI to supply resources worth $1.25 billion per month. Amodei explained that Anthropic’s strategy focuses on balancing demand and supply to avoid excessive infrastructure investments.

The market is closely watching Anthropic’s plans, given its record growth and high valuation. Experts note that a successful IPO could signal strong investor confidence in the long-term prospects of generative AI technology.
