Apple Unveils Siri AI and Key Updates at WWDC 2026

At WWDC 2026, Apple showcased an upgraded version of its voice assistant, Siri AI, built on the Apple Intelligence platform in collaboration with Google. The assistant now supports natural conversations, provides detailed responses, and analyzes on-screen content for more accurate task completion. Users can review interaction history in a dedicated app, with Siri AI available on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro.

iOS 27 introduces quick Siri AI access via a swipe down in the Dynamic Island, where responses are displayed. The Camera app adds a Siri Mode to recognize objects in the viewfinder and provide additional details. Users can also adjust the Liquid Glass interface transparency using a new slider. The update supports devices starting from iPhone 11.

macOS 27 Golden Gate integrates Siri AI, including in Spotlight, enabling file analysis and question-answering. The system reintroduces colored icons in the sidebar and adjusts window corner rounding. Safari now features AI-powered tab management, automatically grouping open pages by topics. It also offers site change notifications, such as stock availability alerts, and automatic updates for compromised passwords.

Messages and Phone apps will include contextual suggestions, like photo recommendations based on conversation topics or flight details for incoming calls. Mail will provide more relevant responses and add calendar events from descriptions. Users can create custom shortcuts using natural language and edit photos with Image Playground, including composition adjustments and object removal.

The Home app update enables AI-generated video clip descriptions, consolidates recordings from multiple devices, and supports 4K playback on compatible cameras. Natural language search for clips is also added. Parental controls have improved, allowing restrictions on specific apps and websites, as well as requiring confirmation for new web pages. The Screen Time interface has been redesigned for easier device usage management.
