Apple Unveils watchOS 27 with Siri AI Support and Redesigned Interface

Apple has announced the release of watchOS 27, the latest update to its smartwatch operating system. The main innovation is the integration of Siri AI, which now supports advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. Users will be able to engage in conversations with the assistant directly from their watch screen and continue discussions initiated on their iPhone. Siri will also learn to perform actions within apps, such as playing music or sending emails, without the need to manually search for functions.

The update also introduces a dynamic app grid that automatically adapts to user habits. At the center of the interface will be the new Siri app, surrounded by the most frequently used programs, simplifying access to essential features without unnecessary menu navigation. Additionally, watchOS 27 brings improvements to fitness tracking, including enhanced running analytics, Spanish language support in Workout Buddy, and new notifications about potential perimenopause symptoms in the women’s health section.

Other changes include optimized widget functionality in Smart Stack, faster music playback, improved battery management, and a more user-friendly Find My app interface. A new gesture has also been added: users can select a widget by pinching their thumb and index finger together. The update will be released this fall, though Siri AI will become available later as part of beta testing. The new assistant version will require a device that supports Apple Intelligence.
