Apple Releases First Developer Beta of iPadOS 27

At WWDC 2026, Apple officially introduced iPadOS 27, unveiling key innovations for its tablet operating system. Among the major changes are the integration of Apple Intelligence, which promises to enhance device interaction through improved Siri capabilities, new image editing tools, and an updated Safari browser.

The first beta version of iPadOS 27 is now available for developers. To install it, users must register for the Apple Developer Program via the Apple Developer app, available in the App Store*. Registration is free unless app publication in the App Store or access to additional tools is required. After registration, the update can be downloaded in the "Software Update" section of iPad settings.

Compatible devices include iPad Pro models with M4 chips and newer, iPad Air starting from the fourth generation, base iPad models from the ninth generation, and iPad mini sixth generation. A public beta is expected next month, with the final release scheduled for fall 2026, likely in September.

Apple has also provided developers with the Feedback Assistant tool for submitting feedback on the beta version. The app automatically collects diagnostic data and crash logs, streamlining the process of identifying and resolving issues.
