Audible Launches Loyalty Program for Audiobook Listening

Audible, the audiobook listening platform, has launched a rewards program that offers users bonuses for their activity. Participants can earn discounts, free credits, and special badges for achievements such as listening to multiple books within a set period or completing a book series.

The program includes various incentives: for example, a free credit after using three credits or a $15 reward for referring three new users. Each referred friend also receives a $5 bonus. Additionally, users can participate in themed challenges, such as listening to the entire Harry Potter book series.

Audible offers audiobooks through both subscription and one-time purchase options. The Premium Plus subscription costs $15 per month, including one monthly credit for downloading a book. In March, the company introduced a more affordable $9 plan, allowing users to listen to one book per month but without the option to retain it after the subscription ends.

Acquired by Amazon in 2008, the service boasts a catalog of over one million audiobooks. Audible’s competitors include Spotify, which offers up to 15 hours of audiobooks per month, and Amazon’s own Prime Music Unlimited subscription, which includes one audiobook monthly.
