The development team has introduced Aurora Linux, an immutable distribution that offers a high level of security and ease of use. The OS is based on Fedora Silverblue and uses the KDE Plasma desktop environment, making it accessible even for beginners. Key system directories are mounted in read-only mode, preventing unauthorized changes and enhancing security.

Aurora Linux distinguishes itself from Fedora Kinoite with extended hardware support. The distribution includes out-of-the-box drivers for Nvidia and AMD GPUs, as well as controllers and printers, eliminating compatibility issues and allowing users to start working immediately. The Bazaar app store simplifies software installation, offering filters for open-source software, verified applications, and excluding outdated versions.

The developers have focused on out-of-the-box convenience: Aurora Linux comes with optimal settings for work and entertainment. Atomic updates ensure stability, automatically rolling back to the previous version in case of failure. The built-in firewall is enabled by default, providing additional protection against threats. The distribution is suitable for both everyday use and running local AI models, such as through Ollama.

Despite its advantages, Aurora Linux has minor drawbacks. The base configuration lacks an office suite and Steam, and system updates are not yet integrated into the app store's graphical interface. Nevertheless, the distribution remains one of the most user-friendly options for those without deep technical knowledge.
