ByteDance Denies Plans to Launch Cars and Its Own Automotive Brand

ByteDance has issued an official statement refuting rumors about its plans to manufacture cars or launch an automotive brand. Earlier, some media outlets linked the name Saidou to the AI assistant Doubao, suggesting it could be a new automotive initiative.

ByteDance clarified that Saidou is neither an automotive brand nor a Doubao project. The company also stated it has no partnership or equity involvement with the entity behind Saidou. The statement emphasized that ByteDance has no plans to produce vehicles.

ByteDance’s primary collaboration with automakers focuses on technology integration. Through platforms like Doubao and Volcano Engine, the company offers solutions based on large language models and intelligent systems for automotive cabins, enhancing user interaction and AI capabilities.
