Duolingo Restores Lost Lesson Streaks for Users in June

Duolingo has announced a special event running throughout June. Users who lost a streak of 30 or more consecutive days can restore it by completing three lessons in a row within the app. The promotion is available on both Android and iOS but does not apply to currently active streaks.

The restored streak will not combine with existing progress. For example, if a user previously had a 1,000-day streak and currently has 500 days, only the 1,000-day streak will remain after restoration. Users without lost streaks will not see this offer in the app.

Developers note that losing a streak can demotivate users, especially if it happened due to reasons beyond their control. In Duolingo, a streak is more than just a number—it reflects habit and discipline. This new promotion aims to reignite interest in learning and reduce the psychological barrier to resuming lessons.

No in-app currency or real money is required to participate. Simply open the app and complete three consecutive lessons. The offer is time-limited, so users are encouraged not to miss this opportunity.
