FBI Warns of Hackers' Physical Attacks on US Law Firms

The FBI has warned US companies about a new tactic employed by the hacker group Silent Ransom Group (SRG), which specializes in extortion. Criminals have begun conducting attacks involving physical infiltration of law firm offices to steal data directly from corporate devices.

Unlike traditional cyberattacks, SRG uses a combined approach: first hacking systems remotely, then sending accomplices to offices to copy information from servers or workstations. This method allows them to bypass some security mechanisms and accelerate data theft.

Experts note that such attacks are particularly dangerous for organizations with valuable intellectual property or confidential client information. The FBI recommends enhancing physical office security, restricting access to critical systems, and implementing multi-factor authentication for all employees.

The SRG group is known for its aggressive extortion methods: after stealing data, criminals demand ransom, threatening to publish the information publicly. The group's activity has increased in recent months, raising concerns among regulators and businesses.
