Galaxy Z Fold 8 May Feature Nearly Invisible Display Crease

Foldable smartphones have remained one of the most innovative segments in the mobile industry for several years, yet the issue of a visible crease on the display has not been fully resolved. As a market leader, Samsung has been actively working to eliminate this drawback. New leaks confirm that the company has made significant progress with the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

Renowned leaker Ice Universe stated in a recent post that the crease control on Samsung’s new generation of foldable devices has become "as impressive as that of the OPPO Find N6." This smartphone, unveiled in March, stands out for its nearly invisible crease when the screen is unfolded, which has become one of its key advantages. Previously, the same source suggested that improvements would be minor, but has now revised this assessment.

Samsung previously showcased a prototype display with no visible crease at CES 2026, underscoring the company’s serious intentions. However, it was unclear at the time when this technology would appear in mass-produced devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to be unveiled in July, and if the leaks are confirmed, this will mark a significant step toward the perfect foldable screen.

It is worth noting that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup may undergo changes in model naming. According to Ice Universe, the base version will now be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the more advanced model will be named the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. There is no official confirmation of this yet, but insiders have often been accurate in such predictions.
