Apple CEO Tim Cook and Successor John Ternus Meet POP MART Founder

Apple CEO Tim Cook and his successor John Ternus met with Wang Ning, founder of the Chinese company POP MART, at Apple Park in Cupertino. Cook announced the meeting in a post on Weibo*, sharing a photo of the participants. This is the second time in nine months that Apple’s leadership has publicly engaged with POP MART representatives.

During the visit, Wang Ning presented Cook with a collectible figurine of LABUBU ZIMOMO, one of POP MART’s popular IPs. The company specializes in designer toys and entertainment products, gaining popularity both in China and internationally.

Last October, during a trip to China, Tim Cook prioritized visiting THE MONSTERS exhibition, celebrating POP MART’s 10th anniversary, over traditional visits to Apple Stores or manufacturing partners. This underscores Apple’s interest in collaborating with creative and entertainment brands, which could unlock new opportunities for integrating technology and content.

The meeting with John Ternus, who will soon lead Apple, also signals continuity in the company’s strategic partnerships. For its part, POP MART continues to expand its influence, and collaboration with the tech giant could be a pivotal step in its business growth.
