Google Home Speaker with Gemini May Launch on June 25, 2026

Canadian retailer Best Buy has listed the release date for the new Google Home Speaker as June 25, 2026, marking the first mention of a specific launch date for the device, which Google initially announced in October 2025. The U.S. version of Best Buy’s website does not yet display a release date, with the product page simply stating “Coming Soon.”

Google has not officially confirmed the release date, continuing to reference spring 2026 as the expected launch period in its materials. When asked about the timeline, the company responded that more information would be provided soon. Notably, spring is drawing to a close, and the speaker remains unavailable for purchase.

The new Google Home Speaker will be Google’s first device fully optimized for the Gemini AI. Unlike previous models under the Nest brand, this device features a simplified name and several technical improvements. Key features include 360-degree sound, stereo pair support, multi-room playback, and integration with Google TV Streamer for a home theater experience.

The speaker will be available in four colors: Porcelain, Hazel, Berry, and Jade, with an estimated price of $99.99 USD. Target markets include the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, Japan, and several European countries. While the release date remains unofficial, if Best Buy Canada’s information is confirmed, the device could launch within weeks.
