The key advantage of Gemini Go is its optimization for resource-constrained devices. The assistant requires only 2GB of RAM, making it accessible even on budget models. Unlike the web version of Gemini, the new assistant is integrated directly into the system and does not require a browser.
The update is distributed via the Google Search app on Google Play*. Users are advised to check for updates in the app store to install the latest version. However, the rollout is gradual, so not all devices will gain access to Gemini Go simultaneously.
