iFlytek Unveils 40g AI Glasses with GlassClaw Agent and Noise-Resistant Speech Recognition

Chinese artificial intelligence technology developer iFlytek has unveiled new AI glasses that could mark a significant step forward in wearable devices. The presentation took place at the BEYOND Expo 2026 in Macao, where the company demonstrated the device's capabilities, positioning it as a "second brain" for users. Lin Huijie, head of iFlytek's wearable devices division, noted that the glasses address a key industry challenge: they offer practical use cases rather than merely replicating smartphone functions.

The new device supports real-time translation for 122 languages, including dialects and accents. The functionality covers verbal translation for face-to-face conversations, phone calls, and online meetings, as well as visual translation of text from menus, signs, and presentations. Special attention has been given to speech recognition in noisy environments: thanks to a multimodal noise suppression system that includes an array of six microphones, cameras, and bone conduction, the glasses can isolate the speech of a specific interlocutor the user is looking at. This technology is particularly useful in airports, exhibitions, and other crowded places.

The built-in GlassClaw AI agent expands the glasses' business capabilities. It automates routine tasks such as meeting minutes, drafting business proposals, planning business trips, and sending emails. An intelligent teleprompter is also included, which synchronizes with the user's speech pace, simplifying presentations and interviews. The glasses are made from an aviation-grade magnesium-aluminum alloy, and the device weighs just 40 grams—20% lighter than comparable products. The manufacturer claims eight hours of battery life and resistance to drops from up to 1.7 meters.

Pre-orders are set to begin on June 15 at a price of 4,299 yuan (approximately $635). iFlytek has also announced collaborations with ecosystem partners, including Sunny Optical and Wanxin Optical, to develop standards for weight, comfort, and intelligent functions in wearable devices. The company views AI glasses as a key element of the next generation of artificial intelligence-based devices.
