Italian Holding Bending Spoons Prepares for US IPO

Italian company Bending Spoons, specializing in acquiring and scaling tech assets, has filed documents with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a public stock offering. Founded in 2013, the holding has acquired over 50 companies in recent years, including well-known brands such as Eventbrite, Vimeo*, and WeTransfer.

According to financial reports, Bending Spoons’ revenue for Q1 2026 reached $601 million, a 132% increase year-over-year. Total revenue for 2025 amounted to $1.31 billion, with a net profit of $27.4 million in the first three months of the current year. Subscriptions account for 84% of its business, serving as the primary revenue driver.

The holding is recognized for its strategy of optimizing acquired assets: post-acquisition, it streamlines teams and implements new subscription-based monetization models. In April, reports suggested Bending Spoons could achieve a $20 billion valuation upon going public, significantly higher than last year’s $11 billion estimate.

Key investors include Baillie Gifford, Cox Enterprises, Durable Capital Partners, and Fidelity. Bending Spoons boasts a user base of over 500 million monthly active users, with 9 million paying subscribers.
