Beijing has launched China’s first platform for comprehensive lifecycle management of humanoid robots. Each device is assigned a unique digital code during production, serving as an identifier throughout its entire service life.
The platform covers all key stages: from research and development and assembly to market entry, sales, operation, and disposal. The system aims to ensure supply chain transparency, enhance quality and safety control, and minimize potential risks. In case of incidents, the platform enables rapid identification of responsible parties.
The initiative is implemented under the auspices of the Technical Committee for Humanoid Robot and Embodied Intelligence Standardization at China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Experts note that the adoption of such systems could be a crucial step toward mass production and deployment of robots across various economic sectors.
