Photon Matrix Launches Laser System to Eliminate Mosquitoes

Photon Matrix has announced the mass production of its laser mosquito elimination system, previously introduced on Indiegogo. The device, named Photon Matrix Infrared and Blue Laser Mosquito Air Defense, is now available for purchase on the manufacturer’s official website, with first shipments to customers expected this month.

The system can detect and eliminate mosquitoes within a 6-meter radius, covering a 90-degree sector. It employs LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, and AI-based computer vision for precise targeting. The device identifies insects ranging from 2 to 20 mm in size, moving at speeds up to 1 m/s, and neutralizes them with a laser beam.

The manufacturer emphasizes that the system has undergone rigorous safety tests and poses no threat to humans, pets, or birds. Video demonstrations highlight its high efficiency, though independent tests have not yet been conducted. This laser system could serve as an alternative to chemical mosquito control, especially in regions where insects transmit dangerous diseases.

Pricing varies by model: the infrared laser version for home use costs $988, while the industrial blue laser version is priced at $1088. Despite the high cost, Photon Matrix may find applications in medical facilities, private homes, and other locations requiring effective, chemical-free mosquito protection.
