Motorola Edge 2026 Challenges Google Pixel 11 with $600 Price Tag

Motorola has expanded its smartphone lineup with the Edge 2026, positioned as a direct competitor to the base model of the Google Pixel 11. The new device distinguishes itself with a more compact design: a 6.3-inch screen and a weight of just 160 grams make it one of the lightest flagships on the market. In comparison, the anticipated Pixel 11, despite a similar display size, may weigh significantly more—up to 200 grams.

The technical specifications of the Edge 2026 also look compelling. The smartphone is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery supporting 60W fast charging, which is twice as fast as the expected 30W for the Pixel 11. The camera is based on a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, complemented by an ultra-wide-angle module and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The display, with a peak brightness of 5200 nits, is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, while the body meets IP68 and IP69 waterproofing standards.

One of the key advantages of the Edge 2026 remains its price: $600 compared to the expected $800–850 for the Pixel 11. However, Motorola uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7450 processor, which lags behind the anticipated Google Tensor G6 in performance. Nevertheless, the price difference and lighter weight may be decisive factors for users who value ergonomics and battery life. The official launch of the Edge 2026 is scheduled for June 11.
