Nitecore NB10000 Gen 4: Lightest and Most Compact 10,000mAh Power Bank

Nitecore has updated its lineup of ultra-compact power banks with the fourth generation of the NB10000 model. The new device is the lightest and most compact among 10,000mAh power banks, weighing just 146 grams and measuring 11.6 × 4.68 × 1.45 cm. For comparison, the previous Gen 3 version was 6 grams heavier.

The NB10000 Gen 4 is powered by a silicon-carbon anode—a technology already used in Samsung’s flagship smartphones. The power bank supports fast-charging protocols PD, QC3.0, and Huawei SCP, as well as pass-through charging. During testing, it fully charged an iPhone 15 Pro twice and demonstrated an efficiency of 86.1% (33.58Wh out of the claimed 39Wh).

The power bank’s body is made of carbon fiber and is water-resistant to IPX7 standards, allowing use in rain or brief immersion. Charge indication is provided via four LEDs, and RGB backlighting on the USB-C ports enhances usability in low light. However, the touch-sensitive power button occasionally malfunctions, particularly in humid conditions.

A standout feature is the Eco mode, which reduces output power to 5W for charging low-power devices like earbuds or smartwatches. This prevents automatic shutdown and improves overall efficiency. Yet, these premium features come at a cost: the NB10000 Gen 4 is priced at $83.95, up from $64.95 for the previous model.

The new power bank is an excellent choice for athletes, hikers, and anyone looking to minimize gear weight. Despite its high price, the device justifies the cost with its unique specifications and reliability.
