NVIDIA Unveils RTX Spark Chip for AI PCs: Competing with Apple and Qualcomm

NVIDIA has made a significant leap into the personal computing segment with the introduction of RTX Spark, a new chip designed for AI-powered Windows devices. The solution is positioned as the foundation for a future where AI agents become the primary interface for PCs, replacing traditional applications and manual operations.

RTX Spark integrates NVIDIA’s expertise in graphics, gaming, and artificial intelligence. The chip can deliver up to 1 petaflop of AI performance and supports up to 128GB of unified memory, enabling powerful AI models to run directly on the device. This promises advantages in speed, privacy, and independence from internet connectivity.

The company has already secured support from leading PC manufacturers, including ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Acer, and GIGABYTE. The first RTX Spark-based devices are expected to hit the market this fall. The innovation targets professionals in development, gaming, content creation, and AI, offering capabilities for 12K video editing, 3D rendering, and running complex AI models.

With the launch of RTX Spark, NVIDIA intensifies competition with key players like Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, and Apple, whose Mac chips are becoming increasingly powerful. Microsoft is also involved, developing new Windows features and security tools for AI agents, including the NVIDIA OpenShell platform, which ensures secure task execution on user devices.
