Google Store Error: Customer Receives Motorola Razr Instead of Pixel 10

A Google Store user encountered an unusual but frustrating situation: instead of the ordered Pixel 10 smartphone, they received a Motorola Razr. The order was placed on May 9, and the package arrived on May 14, but inside the box was a completely different device—a foldable Razr released in 2025.
After discovering the error, the customer immediately contacted Google support but was met with generic responses. Company representatives promised to investigate within 24–72 hours, yet no real action was taken. According to the customer, support only repeated standard phrases without offering concrete solutions. Eventually, the user had to dispute the transaction through their bank, having lost confidence in Google’s ability to resolve the issue.
The incident sparked widespread discussion in the IT community. Reddit users proposed various theories, from a simple warehouse mistake to potential device theft with a cheaper replacement. Notably, the Motorola Razr has recently gained popularity due to improved foldable smartphone features, but such a “swap” is unlikely to please Pixel fans.
Delivery errors happen, but this case is particularly damaging for Google. The company markets the Pixel lineup as a flagship with unique Android and AI capabilities. Such incidents could erode trust in the brand, especially amid growing competition in the smartphone market.
