First Photos of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide Leak in Korea

Weeks ahead of Samsung’s official unveiling of its new foldable smartphones, the first photos of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide have emerged online. The device was spotted in Korea, where it was being used by a company employee at a restaurant. The images were taken from a distance and later zoomed in, leaving details blurry, but key features of the new model remain discernible.

The smartphone was encased in Samsung’s signature protective cover, typically used to disguise devices during testing. Despite this, the wider proportions of the body compared to current Galaxy Z Fold models are noticeable. The outline of a dual camera on the rear panel is also visible, aligning with previously published renders.

According to recent reports, Samsung may drop the “Wide” suffix from the model’s name, presenting it as the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8. Meanwhile, the flagship version with enhanced specifications is expected to be labeled “Ultra.” The expanded model is rumored to feature a 4,800mAh battery and a dual main camera, while the Ultra variant may include a triple camera setup, a 5,000mAh battery, and support for faster charging.

Samsung’s official unveiling of its new foldable smartphones is scheduled for July 22 in London. More leaks and rumors about the devices’ specifications are likely to emerge before the presentation.
