Samsung Prepares Budget Version of Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Without LTE

According to insiders, Samsung is considering releasing two versions of the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. One will retain LTE support, while the other will operate solely via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. This strategy will allow the company to offer more flexible pricing options for different market segments.

It is noted that the budget version may primarily target the European market. It remains unclear whether it will be available in the U.S., though Samsung may offer an alternative for American consumers—a 5G-supported model. Earlier, Samsung firmware revealed a device code (SM-L715F), presumably linked to a 5G version of the watch.

The official unveiling of the new devices is expected at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, where updated models of the Galaxy Flip and Fold foldable smartphones will also be presented. Previously, Samsung did not offer a Wi-Fi version in the Galaxy Watch Ultra lineup, so this new strategy may respond to user demand for avoiding premiums on built-in cellular connectivity.
