Samsung Health Receives AI Update Ahead of Galaxy Watch 9 Launch

Samsung has announced an update for the Samsung Health app, which will begin rolling out on June 8. The new version introduces AI-powered features that analyze complex biometric data and provide users with personalized recommendations.

Among the key innovations is the Vitals tool, which assesses daily energy levels based on heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen levels. If significant deviations from the norm are detected, the app will send a notification and suggest rest or consulting a doctor.

Additional features include Heart Health Score for evaluating long-term heart risks, Daily Cardio Load for optimizing cardio workouts, and Fitness Index, which compares the user’s metrics with those of other platform participants. The app’s updated interface is now structured into five categories: sleep, nutrition, activity, mindfulness, and vital signs.

Samsung emphasized that the new capabilities will help users better understand their physical and mental well-being. The update comes amid rumors of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 9 launch, which may boost interest in the Samsung Health ecosystem.
