Samsung R95H: Revolution in LED TV Color Reproduction

The Samsung R95H is the first TV to feature Micro RGB technology, promising to redefine image quality standards in the LED display segment. Unlike traditional LED panels, this innovation employs an advanced backlight system with individual lenses for each color channel. This minimizes color bleeding and enhances color accuracy, a strength previously exclusive to OLED technology.

Lab tests conducted with professional equipment (including Calman and Murideo 6G) confirmed high color accuracy in SDR mode. The Delta-E score was just 1.84, considered nearly perfect for human perception. The TV achieved 97.28% coverage of the Rec. 709 color space and reproduces over 9 million shades, placing it on par with top OLED models from LG and Sony.

In HDR mode, results were less consistent: the Delta-E score rose to 4.26, indicating the need for calibration to achieve reference quality. However, Rec. 2020 color space coverage reached 94.38%, one of the best results among modern TVs. Experts note that even without additional adjustments, the R95H delivers vibrant and saturated colors, particularly noticeable in dynamic scenes and dark frames.

Despite its impressive technical specifications, the starting price of the 65-inch model is $3,200, making it one of the most expensive on the market. However, Samsung has announced plans to optimize production, which could reduce the cost of Micro RGB devices in the future. If the technology continues to evolve, it may challenge OLED panels not only in image quality but also in price.
