Samsung Expands One UI 9 Beta Testing to Older Flagships

Samsung has expanded its One UI 9 beta testing program to include not only current models but also older flagship devices. The update will now reach Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy S25 FE, allowing users to test new features before the official stable firmware release.

The program is set to launch in four countries: India, South Korea, the UK, and the US. Analysts note that Samsung is gradually expanding beta testing coverage to gather maximum user feedback before the final release. Previously, the program was limited to the Galaxy S25 series, but now includes foldable devices and the more affordable S25 FE model.

Participation in the program is possible through the official Samsung Members app, where users can register and receive updates. Notably, the Galaxy S25 Edge is not included in the list of supported devices, which may indicate its exclusion from the current update cycle.

Recall that the stable version of One UI 9 is already available for Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8, but Samsung continues refining the firmware for older models. Expanding the beta testing program enables the company to gather additional data on compatibility and performance across different devices.
