Samsung Wallet has expanded its functionality by adding the ability to store digital passports for domestic flights in the U.S. This option, previously available in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, is now accessible to Samsung device users. The service operates in collaboration with Clear, a company known for its solutions that expedite airport security checks.

Digital passports are accepted at several U.S. airports for identity verification during domestic flights. However, Samsung warns that a physical document may still be required, especially if technical issues arise with the digital version. For international travel, digital passports are not yet accepted—original documents must be presented in such cases.

The new feature simplifies the check-in process, allowing users to store both boarding passes and ID on their smartphones. This is particularly convenient for frequent travelers, though experts recommend always carrying a backup physical document in case of unforeseen circumstances.
