Pixel Watch 5 Leak: Google’s Smartwatch Found at the Bottom of the Caribbean Sea

A new Google product leak incident: this time, an unannounced Pixel Watch 5 was discovered at the bottom of the sea. Randy Pitchford, founder of gaming studio Gearbox, posted on X* that his acquaintance found the device while diving near the Caribbean island of Saint Martin. The back of the gadget clearly shows the inscription "Pixel Watch 5," despite no official announcement yet.

The photos Pitchford shared on social media reveal that the device’s design closely resembles the previous model, the Pixel Watch 4. However, the incident raises questions: Why was a test unit underwater, and does Google plan to add deep-sea dive support to the new version, similar to the Apple Watch Ultra? Pitchford clarified that the post aimed to return the watch to the responsible Google employee, which was successfully achieved thanks to the online community’s response.

This discovery aligns with Google’s preparations for its traditional summer Pixel lineup announcement. Last year, the company unveiled the Pixel 10 in August, and this year’s presentation is expected around the same time. It’s possible that the Pixel Watch 5 and the upcoming Pixel 11 smartphones are undergoing final testing before market release.
