WWDC 2026: What to Expect from Apple — iOS Updates, Siri, and Rumors of a Foldable iPhone

WWDC 2026 will take place on June 8 at Apple’s Cupertino headquarters. Traditionally developer-focused, the event will also serve as the platform for announcing new software versions. The spotlight will be on iOS 27, macOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, and an upgraded Siri with enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities.

The most significant change may be Siri’s redesign, transforming it into a standalone app with AI chatbot features. According to Bloomberg, the assistant will include an "Ask Siri" button and integration with generative AI models, potentially partnering with Google Gemini. Improvements to the iPhone camera are also expected, leveraging Visual Intelligence for photo and video processing.

macOS 27 is likely to incorporate the same AI features as iOS 27. This version will be the last to support Intel processors—future updates will be exclusive to Apple Silicon devices. While details on iPadOS 27 remain scarce, iPads may receive select features from iOS 27, including the updated Siri.

Though no new devices are expected at WWDC, iOS 27 may include features hinting at a foldable iPhone. Rumors suggest the device, possibly named iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra, could launch in the fall with a 5500mAh battery and a starting price of $2000. Apple may also showcase new Vision Pro capabilities, such as gesture control and integration with wheelchairs.
