Microsoft continues to expand the Xbox Game Pass library, adding several notable titles in May. The highlight is the arrival of Forza Horizon 6, the latest installment in the acclaimed racing series by Playground Games. The game lets players explore Japan, from bustling cities to rural roads, with over 550 cars. It retains the series' signature arcade style while introducing new customization options, an improved progression system, and dynamic weather that affects racing conditions.
Alongside Forza Horizon 6, other projects have been added to the service, including Dead Static Drive—a mix of road trip, survival horror, and action set in a post-apocalyptic world with supernatural elements. Subscribers also gained access to Remnant 2, a Souls-like shooter with a focus on firearms, and Luna Abyss, a first-person sci-fi horror shooter where players explore an underground colony.
However, not all changes are welcome. At the end of May, two iconic JRPGs—Metaphor: ReFantazio and Persona 4 Golden—will leave the Xbox Game Pass catalog. Both games demand considerable time to complete, so those who haven’t started them yet should act quickly. Microsoft also announced the addition of Final Fantasy 6 and Jurassic World Evolution 3 in early June to offset these departures.
Xbox Game Pass remains one of the best value propositions for gamers, offering access to hundreds of games for a monthly fee starting at $10. The Ultimate subscription, priced at $23, includes day-one access to new releases, making the service particularly appealing for fans of exclusives and major titles.
