HardwareChina Approves World’s First Invasive Brain-Computer Interface Chip
China has become the first country to approve commercial use of an invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) for patients with limb paralysis. The NEO device, developed by startup Neuracle Technology in collaboration with Tsinghua University researchers, helps restore motor functions after spinal cord injuries. The technology has completed clinical trials and is now available to a limited group of patients aged 18 to 60, offering new hope for rehabilitation and daily independence.
